Quick update! It's sad when people who read your blog start bugging you to post a new entry. Well, folks, here it is. A midnight mania gift I keep meaning to show you. Don't you just love it when you login and a group conversation about a great deal is happening? Before I had even fully rezzed, the Baby Monkey group was exploding with news of the Britta Sandals bargain of the day. 10L gets you this incredible pair of HUD controlled, color changing sandals! Oh, the humanity!

The HUD lets you control the color of the fabric, the wedge itself, nails, and the toe rings. It was so good I just passed out from the joy! Fortunately, I was at the Second Life Botanical Gardens, so after I came to, I found a nice hammock to catch my breath in. And to play with the color of my new sandals, of course!

Yay for enMESHed!

You know, hunting in SL is one of my favorite hobbies, especially when the hunt gifts are free. The enMESHed hunt happening right now has some great gifts. I just love coming back to my little home after a couple of hours of hunting and opening all the prizes. It's such a great feeling! This hunt has a little bit of everything: some things for the home, some for your feet, some for your fashion crazed self...It's really a great selection of prizes.

If you're noob/newb/newbie to SL, this hunt is a great way to get some free, really well-designed items into your inventory.

This first shot was taken in the #1 hunt gift, a lovely skybox from Michigans Shack. It's the perfect size to get started in SL. The aqua halter dress is the gift from BlackRose Fashion, and it would be perfect for a garden party. The heels are a bit of a cheat: they're the gift from My Pretty Pixels for the Runway Perfect Hunt. They'll cost you 10, but they are great heels.

What's a girl to do on a windswept, stormy day when she can't surf? Look hot in Wicked Sin's Relax Mesh dress. It's so comfortable, and perfect for a date after the beach. Poison's Sunny Day earrings should clear away the gloom: they really do change looks as you move (hence the two pictures...and those don't capture it all!). And the very fine bench is the hunt prize from {Sickly Sweet}. Hey, every girl needs a surfboard, right?

I really should stop, but why when the gifts are so fun? Here I am at the Mango Yacht Club, one of the most artistic sims in SL. If you haven't been, you really have to stop (or sail) by! The mesh dress is a real find. It's a mesh dress that's made in a larger size than the crazy small ones out there. Celebrate your curves, ladies! CURVE n CURVACEOUS earned a loyal fan with this gift. The shoes are from *Step Inside*. Yes, I'm wearing sneakers. Have you ever tried to wear heels on a boat? No es bueno!

This picture teaches two important lessons. Don't sit close to a sea wall with splashing waves. Also, the Summer Tank and Skirt from NaKEd is not only really cute, but it's washable, too!

Finally, after all that surfing and yachting, I just needed some downtime on the beach. Nothing like a new shape to give a girl a little confidence! Fortunately for me, Enchanted Shapes has the Teresa shape as their enMESHed hunt gift, and it comes in all the standard mesh sizing. I tested the shape with the [UnderDogs] Chelle dress. Throw on a trusty pair of Duh! espadrilles, and I'm all set for a little downtime at sunset. Don't know about Duh!? Every girl should! It's got great shoes for very few Linden. These espadrilles are my go to favs!

Runway Perfect

I found some real gems on the Runway Perfect Hunt, and I just had to share them with you!

The Purple Moon gift is this great mesh dress. The shading on this gift is perfect, and it hugs every curve. The pose is once again from Adorkable, who are closing their doors soon! Get to the sale before it closes.

WOW! Skins put out two new MM boards. I'm wearing the Anais Tan skin, and it's such a great look for summer!

Styles by Danielle's gift are these baggy, cobalt blue pants. I'm not ashamed. Blue's my favorite. I had to show these off! I paired them with Maai's current group gift, a naughty corset. Definitely a night out on the town type of outfit. Now if I could only find my way out of the Grand Canyon, I could find a club...

Finally, I just love this short and jacket set from Ruxy Design. You can wear it with a shirt (as I did) or wear the naughtier version (which I didn't do...yet). And I was inspired by all this Old West feeling at the Grand Canyon sim, so I had to grab my trusty horse and head off for a ride!

I got a notice from Chrysalis today, and knowing just how lovely the mesh can be, I headed over straightaway. Ladies, this mesh dress is just perfect for a night on the town, and where better to go than New York City? There's nothing like a night in the Big Apple to get a girl off on the right foot.

Snowpaws FTW!

You know those days when you walk into a store and find a whole line of lucky boards and lucky chairs? Well, if you haven't been to Snowpaws, then you need to rush over and see all the amazing prizes they have lurking in their special freebie room!

I grabbed my prizes and headed over to the Rose Theatre, a gorgeous venue for dancing or seeing concerts. One of the most beautiful in Second Life, and where better to show off a gown or two?

The paper flower dress is a lucky chair prize, and the pussycat blonde hair is a lucky board prize as well! Now if only my prince would show up...

The Larkspur little black dress has the most beautiful draping, perfect for a quiet evening of cabaret at the Rose. I'm also wearing the Beautymark red hair. Both are lucky board prizes.

The Rejouit dress has some of the best movement I've ever seen. It's so flirty and fun. It is a limited time member gift to celebrate the 300,000th visitor to Snowpaws! It's on a table near the entrance. The Petite hair in light golden blonde is another lucky board gift. Check them out today!

Red Shoe Hunt

I was supposed to be working yesterday, but really...on a Saturday? All work and no play makes me a very dull girl, indeed. So I decided to take some time out to go hunting in SL, one of my absolute favorite pastimes. I found this super cute black trench coat from Kastle Rock Couture as one of the prizes. Every girl should have a good  coat in her closet, and this mesh is really nicely detailed.

And these shoes! The prize from Shoenique, who will be getting their own entry in this blog. Amazing gifts to be found! Lucky chairs galore! Hunt prizes! A girl could faint from all the excitement.

I took these photos on the * R u s t * sim, which is a free art sim to explore. A sort of post-apocalyptic theme, but with a whimsical edge. If you're looking for a way to spend time with a friend, I recommend it. Lots of things to interact with and a lot of fun!

Workin' Girl

Some of us poor schmucks have to work on a Saturday, so I decked myself out in my best officewear to hit the books.

The mesh colorblock dress is from Meiling, who is such an unusual designer in SL. She's a RL fashion designer, so her clothes often have pictures of RL models next to SL beauties. How cool is that? I'm dying to get a chance to shop at her store in RL. The dress is a free gift, and her work is so beautifully detailed. If you're willing to spend the Lindens on her other work, it flows so beautifully.

My hair is from the wonderfully generous Alice Demonia. Alice Project hairs can be tinted using the simple color hud, so there's lots of choices. I'm wearing the Momo hair, one of the many prizes on the MM boards and lucky chairs in the store.

Finally, the shoes. Folks, these aren't free, and I don't care! Shiny Things is one of the original shoe stores in Second Life, and Fallingwater Cedardoor certainly knows her craft. I actually own a pair of shoes in RL a lot like this, and they're soooooo comfortable and stylish. Perfect for that long day at the office!

You know, fashion is just too fun not to enjoy in Second Life. I wanna keep the virtual fashion faith! My name is Faith Mondo, and there isn't a lucky chair, hunt, or midnight mania board I don't love. So this blog is going to be all about Second Life fashion that I love and the great people I meet along the way. You make the best friends hanging out at a lucky board!

Here's what I'm wearing today. It's Friday, so I'm going casual.

I love this casual top from the Maai lucky board. If you haven't stopped by, Snow Wolfhunter has been sooooooo generous with this board! This top is the Lizzie prim shirt, and it's just such a gorgeous color.

I paired the top with the free pair of jeans from Allusions. They're great basics, and I really loved the white stitch detailing. Some designers just know how to do things right, you know? And with jeans, it's always in the stitching. My dad always used to say that you could tell a great restaurant by the quality of the salad dressing, and I think the same could be said of SL designers when it comes to jeans. Do the jeans look good? Then they're probably a good designer.

The skin I'm wearing is from WoW skins, and boy, is this store generous. Not only did they just do a fantastic Easter hunt, but their group gifts are great. I'm wearing the Laura skin in medium tan. Such a great makeup. The hair is from the Truth hair sale (Brandi in carrot); talk about a crowd! It's worth it to try to get in the door. I threw on a set of bangles from the Bombay Love Charcoal hunt gift from Paris Metro. The dress itself is great, but the bangles are really great for a lot of different things. Rfb Morpork is just one of the best designers on the grid!
